Contact

Two ways in. Neither is a form.

Call and describe the fault, or pick a slot on the booking page. Both land on the same dispatch list; the telephone is faster if something is already warm or already leaking.

Have this to hand

  1. Model and serial number from the rating plate — inside the oven door frame or behind the kick panel on most of these.
  2. What it is doing and when it started, in plain words. Fault codes if the panel is showing one.
  3. Whether anything changed first: a power cut, a gas shut-off, a new worktop, a kitchen refit.
  4. How the appliance is reached — a step up to the door, a narrow galley, an island in the way.

Questions

Before you dial.

What does the $95 service call pay for?

The visit and a full diagnosis — the readings, the fault, and what putting it right involves. Approve the repair and the $95 comes off the total instead of being added to it.

A burner clicks but will not light. Is that a call?

Not always. Spark reaching the electrode means the module and the switch are alive, so the usual culprits are a cap sitting a fraction off its seat, a port ring blocked after a boil-over, or a wet igniter. Seat the cap square, dry everything, and try again. If every burner clicks at once, or you can smell gas with nothing lit, stop and call.

How do you tell a control board fault from a sensor fault?

By measuring rather than swapping. An oven sensor has a known resistance cold and a predictable one hot; if it reads true and the cavity still misses its set point, the fault has moved upstream to the relay or the board. Boards are the expensive answer, so they are the last one.

Do you take the appliance away?

No. Everything is done in the kitchen where it stands. A range may be pulled forward to reach the back panel, and it goes back on its feet and level before anyone leaves.

Which parts go in?

Factory-approved parts where the platform still has them, and components from the original makers where it does not. Either way the part is named on the estimate before it is fitted.

Are you connected to Viking?

No. This is an independent repair business, not affiliated with Viking or any manufacturer. Anything still running under a manufacturer's own programme should go through their service line.

5 out of 5, across 1119 reviews

  • Top rack kept coming out gritty. The upper spray arm was not turning because its feed tube had unclipped at the back wall. Clipped back and secured, and the glasses come out clean again.

    Baptiste L. · Peacock Farm

  • The door would not shut flush and heat escaped over the top. A stretched spring and a hinge pin worn oval. He replaced both, adjusted the latch, and cleaned out the seal channel while he was at it.

    Kwabena P. · East Lexington

  • Rebuilt kitchen off Lowell Street with a wide dual fuel range. One burner clicked and clicked without lighting. The spark electrode was cracked at the ceramic and shorting to the cap. New electrode, sorted.
